We are looking for the perfect person to complete our team at a thriving violin shop in Austin, TX!
Job Description:
As a contractor with Austin Strings, you would:
-Provide friendly customer service and sales and guide each customer into choosing the correct instrument and accessories for themselves or their children.
-Perform set up, service, and repairs on all orchestral string instruments, cases, and accessories.
-Assist with opening and closing duties including straightening and cleaning.
-Would assist with inventory-tracking and stocking of all products carried.
-Would be responsible for checking in repairs and using a register and point of sale system to take payment from customers.
Candidate must have the following:
-Be at least 18 years of age.
-Must have weekend availability.
-Must be able to stand and maneuver for long periods.
-Must be able to legally work in the US.
-Have no criminal background.
Skills Required:
-Ability to skillfully demonstrate at least one of the four orchestral string instruments.
-Experience in customer service and sales.
-Craftsmanship ability, is comfortable working with their hands.
-Luthiere experience, OR will take a basic setup and basic repair class as soon as possible (Links provided upon request).
